Soft Love Letter / Madakku Dosa

                   'Love letters '!! Is n't that a sweet name for a dish..? I got that name from hostel. 'Sweetness enveloped inside a Dosa'.. This title was apt for our today's dish. When I was in College hostel, our Mess Menu had this on regular Sundays. But we never liked their food and as usual this one also tasted awful. Every time they disgraced its name.. Obviously, I won't make you unhappy. Because this is not at all the way they prepare. It is just very SOFT! Evening will also be nice when you have your Loveletters sweetly placed near your hot tea..


Ingredients:

  1. All Purpose Flour : 1 cup
  2. Egg : 1 (optional)
  3. Water : 2 cup (as required to make smooth batter)

Method :

  1. In a bowl mix flour and the beaten egg. (It's still smooth even if egg is not used)
  2. Pour water into the batter until it gives a medium consistency - not too thick and not too thin. It's better if it's more in thinner side. Add salt
  3. Heat a non stick pan and pour the batter with a ladle . Swirl the pan (not with ladle) so that the batter is spread to form round shape. Don't spread like in Dosa as it doesn't make it soft. Cook covered with lid. 
  4. It's not required to cook other side. Take out from the pan by removing slowly, starting from the edges. 
  5. Serve with grated coconut-sugar combination or honey or anything sweet.
