Pepper Chicken Curry

I have no idea from where I got this recipe. Surely its from some blog. Whoevers it is I am really grateful my friend, as this is one of my favourite recipe. Once I prepared this and sent it to my parents' home for dinner and my brother thought I bought it from restaurant. You will surely get appreciation when you also serve at your dining hall. Trust me!

Ingredients:
  1. Chicken : 500 gms , cut into medium sized
  2. Onion small sized : 2 , chopped
  3. Ginger : 1 tbsp , crushed
  4. Garlic : 4-5 cloves , crushed
  5. Tomato large sized : 1 , chopped
  6. Freshly grounded black pepper powder : 2 tbsp
  7. Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
    Coriander powder : 3 tbsp
  8. Garam Masala : 3/4 tsp
  9. Cashewnuts : 20 , soaked in water for 30 min
  10. Dry Kasuri methi leaves :3/4 tsp
  11. Vegetable cooking oil : 2-3 tbsp

Method :
  1. Grind the soaked cashew nuts to a smooth paste
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add Onion . Saute until they turn transparent.
  3. Add ginger and garlic and saute followed by adding tomato
  4. When tomato turns mushy add powders listed in number 5 and saute for few minutes to remove the raw smell
  5. Put chicken pieces and mix together. Add half cup water to let it cook in medium flame.
  6. When chicken gets almost cooked add cashewnut paste, methi leaves and let it cook for about few more minutes . (I haven't added the methi leaves today)
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and cover it prior to switching off the flame
  8. Serve hot.
Note :
  • Adding pepper powder will enhance the taste. Make sure it doesnt turn over spicy
